Our artisan programme is run in partnership with the Manufacturing, Engineering and Related Services Sector Education and Training Authority (MerSETA) and the Colliery Training College. This 18-month initiative provides us with a pipeline of qualified millwrights (electrical and mechanical), boilermakers, electricians and instrumentation technicians who are absorbed into our workforce on completion of their trade tests. 

The metallurgical learnership programme is run by the Mineral Mining Training Institute and involves a 12-month course in metals production and related processes. Participants are unemployed youths sourced exclusively from local communities.
