OUR PRODUCTS
Transalloys is an established producer of silicomanganese (SiMn) and recently introduced high-carbon ferromanganese (HCFeMn) and medium-carbon ferromanganese (MCFeMn) to its product mix. This was the result of a R300 million investment in a converter that was commissioned in September 2020.
The products we manufacture are used as grain refiners, deoxidisers and desulfurisers in the steel-making process. Steel manufacturers use them to enhance the hardness and strength of long steel products. End products are used extensively in the construction of buildings, bridges, roads, ships and rail infrastructure.
In addition, slag is sold for the production of concrete and road aggregate.

LABORATORY
ButtonOur laboratory has been ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited by the South African National Accreditation System (SANAS). This effectively means that the testing and reporting it carries out is equivalent to that provided by any internationally recognised laboratory.
